Born in Denmark, Martin began ballroom dance instruction at the age of three. He danced in amateur competitions before he was ten years old, and was a finalist in all the major Danish Dance Sport Championships in the children, junior and youth classes.
Gina comes from Munich, Germany and started to dance at the age of fifteen. She competed very successfully at the amateur level with several partners and was the German Champion in the Latinamerican dances (A-level).
In 1990, Martin and Gina began their partnership as competitive ballrooms dancers. Their titles include the Danish 10-Dance Champions and Austrian Latin and 10-Dance Champions. Martin and Gina were also finalists in the World and European 10-Dance Championships and in the World Latin Showcase Championships.
Juliet
Born in Schwalmstadt, Germany, Juliet began dance training at the age of 5 with ballet, followed be jazz and hip-hop. She began ballroom dance training at the age of 13. Juliet began teaching dance in Germany at 16. She specialized in swing, lindy-hop and hustle.
Peter
Born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany. Peter has been dancing since he was 6, specializing in Standard at the age of 15. In the German Championships he became 4th and he won the biggest tournament in Germany -the Blue Banner of Berlin. Prior to becoming a team member here at Fred Astaire, Peter taught in a dance club for number of years in Germany.
Melissa
Born in Brooklyn, New York Melissa began her dance training at age 3 with Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern and African. She began Ballroom Dance training at age 18. Melissa has been teaching for ten years and specialized in Hip-Hop, African and Jazz.
Elmar
Elmar started with Ballroom dancing at the age of 7 and took part in many regional, national and international competitions. He decided to make his hobby to his profession and absolved a 3-years training program to become a certified dance instructor. He passed his exams successfully in 2004. He then immediately was offered a position as dance instructor and assistant manager at one of the biggest German dancing schools in Munich, Germany. In January 2007 Elmar joined our studio.
